The future of education depends on how we lead, not just what we deliver

Forward thinking, evidence-based training and coaching for educational leaders

  • In future-ready schools, leadership and wellbeing are deliberately and strategically aligned - because sustainable leadership isn’t just good practice, it’s the future of educational excellence.

Meet Steph

Steph Hawkins didn’t set out to become a leadership and wellbeing specialist - she became one because she knew the system needed it.

As a former educational leader herself, in both UK and international contexts, Steph knows about the pressure to perform, the relentless pace and the quiet sacrifices made to keep everything (and everyone) afloat.

She's lived it, and she’s listened to leaders living it now.

With a background in positive psychology and a deep commitment to evidence-based practice, Steph now works at the intersection of psychology, leadership and human sustainability, supporting forward-thinking leaders to reimagine what it means to lead well in education today with clarity, care and courage.

Through her signature frameworks - including The WELLQ Way team certification and the Wellbeing by Design micro-credential, Steph helps leaders move from survival mode to sustainable leadership. Her approach bridges the gap between research and the realities of school life, combining rigour with relevance and offering practical tools that make a real difference.

The schools that choose to work with her aren’t looking for surface-level wellbeing initiatives, they’re ready to do leadership differently. They understand that protecting the energy and wellbeing of their leaders is more than a moral imperative, it’s a strategic one, because when we design leadership that sustains the leader, we create ripple effects that benefit the whole school community.

For Steph, designing for wellbeing isn’t about stepping back. It’s about stepping forward with purpose and with a vision of sustainable leadership that actually works for the future of education.

Redesign what leadership feels like - for you, your team and your school

If you’re leading in international education today, you know the weight of it.
The relentless context-switching, the invisible emotional labour, the expectation that you will hold it all together and the quiet sacrifice of your own energy, just to keep things afloat.

Too often, leadership wellbeing is framed as a luxury but, the truth is, sustainable leadership is the foundation for everything that follows - from cultural stability to strategic delivery.

When leadership is resourced and reimagined, the benefits don’t stop with you.

Lead the way - without losing yourself in the process

Through this work, you’ll begin to see what sustainable leadership actually looks like in your context and how to move toward it without guilt or overwhelm.

  • You’ll walk away with a personalised wellbeing leadership map and a clear, actionable strategy.

  • You’ll gain insight into what’s truly draining vs. sustaining your energy and why that matters.

  • You’ll discover small but powerful ways to reshape your role so it fits you better - not the other way around.

  • You’ll feel a shift: less reactive, more focused and more hopeful about what’s possible.

We’re not promising the work will be easier, but you’ll possess a mindset and toolkit that evolves with you ensuring this isn’t a one‑off boost, but the start of a sustainable leadership practice that allows you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, professionally and personally.
